Martha B. Hampton, age 92, passed away April 23, 2025 at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston, MO.

She was born October 1, 1932 in St. Louis, MO, daughter of the late William Bacon and Lillian Wiliford-Bacon.

Martha was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and had worked as a Teller for Bank of Sikeston for over 40 years. She enjoyed playing Bingo, when she was younger, she enjoyed camping and Mizzou football games with her husband. She loved being with her kids and grandkids.

On January 2, 1952 she was married to William Howard Hampton Jr., he preceded her in death April 28, 2016.

She is survived by three sons, Danny (Megan) Hampton and David (Michelle) Hampton both of Sikeston, MO and Bill (Denise) Hampton of Oklahoma City, OK; one daughter, Cathy (Mike) Irwin of Norman, OK; two sisters, Nancy Mabry and Shirley Dennis both of St. Louis, MO; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 29, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the MO State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.
