Marilyn "Sudie" Hopper, 84, passed away on June 30, 2026 at Mercy Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Marilyn was born on April 15, 1942 at her childhood home in Scott County, MO, daughter of the late Wilson and Eloise Thompson Glueck.

Marilyn enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved spending time in her garden and sewing, hobbies that brought her happiness and peace. She also enjoyed working alongside her coworkers and valued the friendships she made throughout her twenty plus years, working at the Hat Factory in Oran, MO. In her free time, Marilyn liked watching classic westerns on television.

More than anything, Marilyn loved her family. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who brought her the greatest joy.

Marilyn is survived by, one son, Alan (Denise) Hopper of Sikeston, MO; one daughter, Debbie Roslen of Morley, MO; one brother, Steve (Yvonne) Glueck of Cooter, MO; one sister, Jeris Brown of Morley, MO and one sister-in-law, Joann Glueck of Vanduser, MO; grandchildren, Brooke Daniel, Tara (Mike) Weathers , Amanda Pope, and Thomas (Erin) Roslen and; great-grandchildren, Mackinzie Weathers, Dayton Daniel, Nate Hopper, Isly Hurt, Kayden Burton, Averie Daniel, Renegade Burton, and Michael Weathers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Junior Glueck; and three sisters, Virginia Ruedrich, Jeanette Coplin, and Deloris Helms; one son-in-law, Tom Roslen and her longtime companion, Dale Vaughn.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 11th beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of services at 12:00 p.m. at Caudle Funeral Home in Sikeston, MO.
