Marie Scott, age 75, of Charleston, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 19, 2022, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri.  She was born February 19, 1947, in Columbus, Kentucky to the late William Alton Denton and Mary Elizabeth Boswell Denton.  She was of Baptist faith.  Marie enjoyed gardening, cooking, and was a homemaker who deeply loved her family, most especially, her grandkids.

On August 31, 1967, in East Prairie, she married Donnie Scott, who survives of the home.

Marie is also survived by two daughters, Tina (Pete) Wimberley of Sikeston and Nika (Teddy) Sisk of East Prairie; two sons, Ray (Pam) Scott of Charleston and Todd Scott (fiancé, Stephanie Helveston) of Dogwood; eight grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Joshua Sisk; two brothers and nine sisters.

Visitation will be held at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, beginning at 5 p.m.

Funeral services will be held in the Shelby Chapel on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at 11 a.m., with Bro. Mike Johnson and Bro. Joe McCullough officiating.   The eulogy will be delivered by Kevin Lay.

Interment will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Shelby Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be T.J. Scott, Corey Sisk, Scott Wimberley, Welton "Bubby" Scott and Shane Scott.  Honorary pallbearers will be Brooke Hamblen, Tara Baker and Cambree Scott.
