Obituary

Margie Lorene Ahlfield, age 92, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at her home in Anniston, MO. The only daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Chambers and Emma Pollock Chambers, she was born July 26, 1931, in Anniston.  She was a member of the Anniston Christian Church.  Margie was a homemaker who loved, nurtured, and cared deeply for her family.  Her greatest love of all was her love of God.

On November 12, 1949, in East Prairie, MO she was married to Victor "Vic" Ahlfield, who preceded her in death May 11, 2007.

Margie is survived by her three sons, Reggie Ahlfield of Sikeston, MO, Steve Ahlfield (Patti) of  Shannon, MS, and Dan Ahlfield (Tina) of Sikeston; eight grandchildren, Reggie "Scooter" Ahlfield, Jr., Lorrie "Sister" Ahlfield Stinnett, Steve "Toot" Ahlfield, Jessica Cobb, Jason Wilson, Jeff Wilson, Trevor R. Ahlfield and Danielle Nicole Ahlfield Moses; fourteen great grandchildren, Jake Ahlfield, Keenan Ahlfield, Garrett Ahlfield, Tori Stinnett, Oliver Moses, Bryson Presley, Sam Rodgers, Molly Rodgers, Brody Wilson, Drew Wilson, Kinzleigh Wilson, Carter Wilson, Levi Landers, and Penelope Wilson; four great-great grandchildren; one brother, Shirley Chambers (Lois) of Anniston; and a host of relatives and many friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers, T.J. and L.J. Chambers, Lester Chambers (Sue), Ben Chambers (Lucy), Billy "Red" Chambers (Bobbye), and Charles "Winks" Chambers (Mildred); her sister-in-law, JoAnn Wolford (Wilbert); and two grandchildren, William Brian Ahlfield and Kelsi Emma Ahlfield.

Margie's family would like to extend a special thanks to her caretakers, Dora Brown, Latosha Jones, and Kaleshia Hines, for their compassion and companionship.  Also, a special thank you to her brother Shirley, for all his love and special attention.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 7, at 1 p.m. in the Shelby Chapel, with Bro. Martin Lucas officiating.

Interment will follow in Anniston Cemetery under the direction of Shelby Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Reggie Ahlfield, Jr., Steve Ahlfield, Trevor Ahlfield, James Lee Stinnett, Jeff Wilson and Jason Wilson.
