Malinda Lucille Foster-Johnson passed away August 30, 2026, in Sikeston, MO.

She was born on May 9, 1941, in Delta, MO to the late Jack and Ruby Dial Tubbs.

Malinda Foster Johnson was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy in life was her family.

Malinda was a hardworking and independent woman who spent more than 40 years owning and operating her own business, Sikeston Secretarial Service. She later worked for Nathan's Auto for more than 10 years, where she formed many friendships throughout the years.

In 2006, Malinda married the love of her life, Elmer "Sonny" Johnson. The two shared a special love and many wonderful memories together until his passing in 2013. Above all else, Malinda loved her family. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren fiercely, almost as much as she loved her St. Louis Cardinals. Some of the family's most treasured memories were made gathered around her table for family dinners, where there was always plenty of food, laughter, and love. Her famous tacos were a family favorite and will be greatly missed, although the memories made while enjoying them together will be cherished for years to come. Malinda had a special way of bringing her family together, and those moments around her table will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

Malinda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elmer "Sonny" Johnson, her daughter, Carmen Foster-Dockins, and son Bruce Johnson.

She is survived by her two daughters, Michelle Fayette and Tammy (Elven) Baker; three grandchildren, Zachary (Brittany) Fayette, Matthew Dockins, and Myka Dockins; and three great-grandchildren, Davalyn Williams, Beau Fayette, and Lucille Fayette, all of Sikeston; and great-granddaughter, Emily Dockins of Scott City.

Malinda leaves behind a family who loved her dearly and a lifetime of memories that will be cherished for generations. Her absence will be deeply felt, but the love she gave, the lessons she taught, and the memories she created will live on through the family she treasured so much.

She will be forever loved, forever missed, and always remembered, especially whenever the Cardinals take the field.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Caudle Funeral Home in Sikeston, MO.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kenny Rogers Children's Center in Sikeston, MO.
