Lula Belle Garner, known to family and friends as 'Billie', age 86, passed away May 22, 2022 at Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston, Missouri.

She was born January 22, 1936 in Biehle, Missouri, daughter of the late Maple and Etta Mae Peterman.

She was a 1954 graduate of Perryville High School. Billie worked as a beautician, homemaker, and later in the Sikeston School Cafeterias.

In 1959, she married Loman Garner of Sikeston, he preceded her in death March 29, 2017.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Dewey Walker; two sisters, Audrey Sandlin and Lucille Peterman; and one great-grandson, Lennon Andrew Balcer.

Billie is survived by one son, Brad (Sarah) Garner of Sikeston; one daughter, Susan (Sean) McQuillan of Sikeston; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 27, from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 10:30 a.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Missouri.
