Lula Evelyn Bohnert, age 87, passed away April 9, 2021 at her home in Morehouse, Missouri.

She was born January 8, 1934 in Blodgett, Missouri, daughter of the late George E. and Lillian Fox Lewis.

Lula was of the Baptist belief and had worked as a private duty nurse before retiring.

She is survived by one son, Earl (Jennifer) Bohnert of Bertrand, Missouri; one daughter, Evelyn Aldridge of Atoka, Tennessee; one brother, Donnie (Karen) Lewis of Oviedo, Florida; seven grandchildren, Steven Bohnert, Zachary Bohnert, Terry Lewis, Shawn Aldridge, Amy Maddox, April Aldridge, and Terrie Wagner; 32 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Lula was preceded in death by one son, Charles Lewis; one son-in-law, Comer Aldridge; five brothers, Howard Lewis, Harold Lewis, Robert Lewis, Leonard Lewis, and Glenn Lewis; and one sister, Rosie Shaw.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 15, from 5:00 p.m. until time of funeral services at 7:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.
