Louis "Dennis" Baker, age 75, passed away on January 15 2022.

Dennis was born January 12, 1947 in Charleston, MO to the late Arlie Baker and Dessie Baker.

He has come full circle as planned. He was raised and taught about life by the best parent's anyone could have. He accepted the Lord at the 1st Baptist Church in East Prairie, MO. Dennis graduated from the Los Angeles Police Academy academy becoming Police Officer until retirement. He then started a second career as a Missouri State Correctional Officer getting a second retirement.

He was blessed by having the best sister and brother anyone could ask for. Ronnie was my mentor and protector at school. We use to play cowboys and Indians with our 1st cousin, Richard Gregory. I was the youngest, so I played the sheriff. As teenagers Ronnie and I used to love to go cruising in cars. I told Helen, on cloudy days I look up and pray to God and talk to Mom, Dad, and Ronnie.

He had two sons, Dennis and Robert Baker, and four grandkids.

He was proud of his roots, and family. He finally came back to Missouri. It took a long time to make a it full circle, but finally did.

Visitation and Service will be held Saturday, January 22nd at Shelby Funeral Home at 11am - 12pm. Burial will follow immediately at East Prairie Memorial Park.
