Lois
Farrow
May 31, 1934 – July 8, 2025
Lois Marie Farrow, 91, of Morehouse, Missouri, passed away in her sleep on July 8, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born on May 31, 1934, in Greenville, Texas, and spent the majority of her adult life in Morehouse, where she tended to her home and raised her family.
Lois was preceded in death by her two husbands, Thomas Arlando Pulliam and Freddie Eugene Farrow; her son, Jesse Lee Simpson; and her grandson, Jonathan Tyler Simpson. She is survived by her son, Leo (Susie) Simpson, and two daughters, Brenda (Guy) Raby and Dawnya (Wayne) Harris. Her legacy lives on through 11 grandchildren, as well as dozens of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A homemaker throughout her life, Lois found peace in the quiet rhythm of daily life. She enjoyed working outside in her flower beds and loved sitting on her front porch, people-watching and waving at neighbors as they passed by. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Morehouse, where she found moments of community and connection. Morehouse was her home, and she loved being there.
In her later years, Lois battled Alzheimer's disease—a difficult chapter that brought both sorrow and reflection to her and her family. Her struggle with memory loss often complicated relationships, but her family honors the full story of her life: one of strength, hardship, and deep love—especially for her late husband Fred. The bond they shared was unshakable, and it's no coincidence she passed just under two weeks after his death.
Lois's life was not always easy, and she faced personal challenges that shaped those around her. Her family acknowledges both the light and shadow in her journey, remembering her as a woman who was wholly human—flawed, loved, and now finally at peace.
