Linda Kay (Pearson) Williamson was called home to rest in God's loving arms on October 1, 2024. She was born in Commerce, Missouri on July 27, 1949 to the late Woodrow and Lillie Mae (Allen) Pearson.
Linda graduated from Kelly High School in Benton, Missouri. She became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1973 and then continued her education to become a Registered Nurse as she worked and raised her family. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri in
1984. She worked at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri for 45 years in addition to multiple extended care facilities throughout the community. She served as the house supervisor for many years before she retired from Missouri Delta Medical Center in 2018. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah's Witnesses in Sikeston, Missouri. She was presented a key to the city of Sikeston by The Daughters of Sunset, a non-profit organization based in Sikeston, Missouri that focuses on community service. Much like her father "Woody" she never met a stranger. She was a mentor to countless people throughout the community and a friend to anyone who knew her.
She was married to Frank Williamson in 1972 and continued to be a lifelong friend to him until the day that she died as they cared for their daughter "Novy".
She was preceded in death by five siblings, Earnest Pearson, Evelyn (Sam) Pearson-Brown, Floyd (Pauline) Pearson, Bob (Tawanna) Pearson, and Lonnie Pearson.
Left to celebrate and cherish her memories are: Her children, Anthony "Tony" Pearson, Chris (Rebecca) Williamson, and Bynovia Williamson. Her grandchildren: Anthony "Bud" (Allison) Pearson, Reed Thomas, Trenton Riggs-Williamson, Lance Thomas, L Thomas, Taylor (Angel) Williamson-Galvin, Jordan Williamson, Larissa Thomas - Green, and Ethan Williamson. Six of her siblings: Barbara (Joe) Blissett of Bowling Green, KY, Larry (Helen) Pearson of Baton Rouge, LA, Jimmy (Bobbie) Pearson of Goose Creek, SC, Beverly "Kay" (Paul) Taylor of Marston, MO, Kenny Pearson of Kansas City, MO, Joyce Pearson of Sikeston, MO, and Terry (Diane) Pearson of Cincinnati, OH. Her great grandchildren: Carter, Daxton, and Chloe Pearson, and Greyson Thomas. A special friend: Chad (Kathy) Faire of Benton, MO whom she mentored throughout his life. A special niece: Tawanna (Rodreckus) Triblett of New Madrid, MO. A special nephew: Mark (Shakela) Swanson of East St. Louis, MO. There were a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that she cared for deeply and who will always cherish the time that they spent with her.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 12th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, MO.
