Lee Delplane
May 22, 1973 – May 8, 2024
Loving Son, brother and uncle.
Preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Delplane.
Left behind is his father, Lee Delplane; sister, Kerrie Taylor; brother, Jeff Taylor; niece, Chesley Taylor and husband, Mouath Smadi; nephew, Preston Gilmore; great-nieces, Camille Helton and Allison Gilmore; and great-nephews, Colton Helton and Adi Smadi.
Lee was a very talented artist, he had big dreams. It takes great talent to get into the Ringling Brothers School of Art. Lee got in with scholarships based on his incredible talent. He was well on his way to a successful life, when he was struck with this horrible illness.
His life and the struggles he faced with schizophrenia are a poignant reminder of the impact of mental illness on individuals and their loved ones.
This tribute is his families way of wanting everyone to know how he was deeply loved and had aspirations that were tragically disrupted by his illness. May his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to those who knew him, and may it also raise awareness and compassion for others living with schizophrenia and similar conditions.
His mind is finally at peace.
The family plans to have a celebration of life at a later date. Friends and family will be notified of date.
Lee will be deeply missed.
