Obituary

Karen "Kiki" Sandberg Craig, age 73, died tragically on May 16, 2025 in the tornado that hit her home in Sikeston, MO.

She was born February 28, 1952 in Chicago, IL, daughter of the late Charles Oscar Sandberg and Adele Mikolay Sandberg.

Karen worked as a Dental Hygienist in Arizona for 35 years and had also been a substitute teacher here in Sikeston. She loved all animals-especially horses, she showed Arabian horses. She had three dogs, Poppy, Charlie, and Baxter, plus many, many other animals that were stray dogs and cats.  She enjoyed sewing and making custom western clothing.

On December 30, 2005 in Surprise, AZ she was married to Randall Taylor Craig, who survives.

Other survivors include two sisters, Pam (Dennis) Delnagro of Sikeston, MO and Charlann (Michael) Handlon of Virginia Beach, VA; nephews, Michael (Taryn) Handlon Jr., Matthew (Caroline) Handlon, and Timothy Handlon; and cousins, Marci Harnden, Todd Crawford, and Brandt Crawford.

There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, May 21, at 11:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 12:00 noon at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, MO. David Carnell will officiate.

A private burial will be held at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.
