Joshua Kyle Brase, age 42, died Monday, May 6, 2024 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

He was born May 13, 1981 in Sikeston, MO, son of Terry Wayne Brase and Sheila Diane Harwell-Brase.

Joshua was a lifelong resident of Sikeston, having graduated from Sikeston High School in 1999, and worked for Tetra Pak. He played numerous sports growing up, enjoyed dove hunting, loved the outdoors, and he was always on the move.  He most enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children.

He is survived by his parents, Terry & Sheila Brase of Sikeston, MO; one son, Austin Kyle Brase of Sikeston, MO; one daughter, Lauren Michelle Brase of Jackson, MO; one brother, Benjamin Brase of Sikeston, MO; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 15, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home.  Josh's uncle, Rev. Douglas Lucy will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Austin Brase, Richard Brase, Shon Stratman, Dave Casey, Richard Wibbenmeyer, and Bryan Lane.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Harwell Sr., Randy Stafford, Steven Brase, and Todd Lloyd.
