Jimmy Ray Calhoun, age 59, passed away July 18, 2022 at his home in Jackson, Missouri.
He was born May 14, 1963 in Eldorado, Illinois, son of the late Raymond and Elizabeth Ruie Ledbetter Calhoun.
Jimmy was a veteran of the U.S. Army, had worked as a truck driver for K-Way Express in Scott City, Missouri, and enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In 1989 he married Phyllis Jean Keeran Calhoun, she passed away in 2010.
He is survived by two daughters, Christina McNeal of North Carolina and Barbara Campbell of Jackson, Missouri; one brother, William (Reni) Nowling of Oregon; five grandchildren, Asa (Lindsey) Campbell, Alyssa Campbell, Bryanna (Troy) Roberson, Martin Schaffer, and David McNeal; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by five brothers.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 22, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, Missouri.
Graveside services will follow at 1:15 p.m. at the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Randy Morris and Gene Hosey will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Kraig Zimmerman, Andrew Zimmerman, Cody Smith, Hunter Elledge, Troy Richardson, and Paul Ivester.
