Jessie Lee Bright, age 84, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, MO.

On April 12, 1940 in East Prairie, MO he was born to the late Oscar and Lilly Sides Bright.

Later on March 05, 1963 he married Barbara Rowleen Keeton in East Prairie, MO. She preceded him in death on June 1, 2022.

Jessie had been employed for almost thirty years by the Mississippi County Highway Department before he retired.

He is survived by his son Berry Bright of Anniston, MO; one sister Geraldine Byassee of East Prairie, MO; and two grand children: Berry Bright Jr. and Elyssa Bright.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one son, Bryant Lee Bright; three sisters, Marie Bright, Louanna Jackson and Allene Jackson; two brothers Joe Bright and David Bright.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, MO.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Shelby Funeral home, with Bro. Sonny Jackson officiating.

Pallbearers will be: Mike Byassee, Marvin Hatton, Mike Duncan, Daniel Bell, Chuck Baker and Johnny Byassee.

Interment will be in the Anniston Cemetery in Anniston, MO.
