Jerry Wayne Hampton, age 84, of Sikeston, MO passed away at Sikeston Convalescent Center on April 30, 2023.

He was born May 17, 1938 in Sikeston, son of the late J.W. Hampton and Mary Dicie-Hampton

On June 19, 1960 he married Pearl Estelle Frazier-Hampton, she survives of the home.

Jerry attended Miner Baptist Church and had been employed by Greeenway John Deer before retiring.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Teresa (Roger) Jenkins of Sikeston; one grandson R.J. (Bridgette) Jenkins; and two great-grandchildren, Hanah and Joshua.

He was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Alexis Jenkins; and one brother, Charles Dale Hampton.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 4, at 11:00 a.m. at Sikeston Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Roger Jenkins, R.J. Jenkins, Johnny Jenkins, Guy Jenkins, Craig Karnes, and Jeremy French.
