Obituary

Jerry Douglas Haddock, Sr., age 66, a resident of East Prairie, MO passed away Friday, May 16, 2025, at Aspire Nursing Center in East Prairie. He was born October 12, 1958, in Sikeston, MO to the late William Harvey Haddock and Edna Mae Alexander Haddock, and was employed many years by Sowinski Farms, Inc.  The highlight of his life was being a farmer, always going the extra mile.

Jerry is survived by two sons, Jerry Douglas Haddock, Jr. (Nichell) of Charleston, MO, and Jason McKinley Haddock of East Prairie; one daughter, Jerra Johnson (Frank) of East Prairie; one brother and one sister, Joel Haddock and Paula Burleson, both of East Prairie.  Also surviving are six grandchildren, Kenneth Allen, Jr., Logan Allen, Jerry Douglas Haddock, III, Payton Johnson, Dalton Haddock, and Shea Haddock; as well as his great grandchildren, Clifton, Sawyer, Kyler, Parker, Jaxon, Jerry IV, Olivia, Paisley, Briton, BrinLeigh, and Bella, with one on the way.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by five brothers, Roger Dale Haddock, Dalton Haddock, Collis Haddock, Donnie Haddock, and Tony Haddock.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 19, 2025, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 20, at 12 noon in the Shelby Chapel, with Bro. Stanley Triplett, pastor of Blessed Assurance Ministries in East Prairie, officiating.

Interment will follow in Dogwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Allen, Jr., Logan Allen, Jerry Haddock, III, Payton Johnson, Dalton Haddock, and Kenneth Allen, Sr.
