Jerry "Pete" Craig Boyer, age 66,  formerly of East Prairie, MO, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025, at his residence in Cape Girardeau, MO.  He was born March 31, 1959, in St. Louis, MO, son of the late Jerry George Boyer and Linda Moore Boyer.  Pete was employed as a juvenile officer in Charleston, MO.  He enjoyed flower gardening, and he loved to talk….many times the family would have to "Pause It"  if Pete had something to say. His greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his kids and grandkids, as he loved his family deeply.

Survivors include two sons, Jeremy (Shelia) Boyer and Josh (Sarah) Boyer; one brother, Monte Steven Boyer; two sisters, Deborah Faye Crowley and Lisa Jean Tidwell; seven grandchildren, Emma, Payton, Christopher, Zander, Maxwell, Grayson, and Cooper; with one great grandchild (Payton) on the way.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Gail Hammontree; and the love of his life, Leasa Ann Brown.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025, beginning at 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12 noon at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Interment will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Shelby Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Boyer, Josh Boyer, Christopher Boyer, Zander Boyer, Deric Smith, and Joshua Carter..
