Jeremy L. Grither, age 42, passed away on August 23, 2022.
He was born October 18, 1979 in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, son of Rodney L. Parmer and Joan M. Parmer Mobley.
Jeremy married Stephanie Grither of Sikeston, Missouri on December 21, 2010 in Benton, Missouri.
He was a foreman for Townsend Tree Service and had served as a firefighter for 20 years for the Fire Departments of Miner, SCRFPD, Canalou, Matthews, and Lilbourn. He was a member of Sikeston Jaycees and he enjoyed bow fishing, deer hunting, and spending time with his children and two grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his stepfather, William Bruce Mobley; three daughters, Susan Hoskins of Marston, Missouri, Dakota Daniels of Sikeston, and Rachel Grither of East Prairie, Missouri; two brothers, Rodney (Carla) Grither of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Wayne (Wendy) Parmer of Perryville, Missouri; one brother-in-law, Michael Brandon (Tara) Tucker of Sikeston; two grandchildren, Savannah Hollowell, Kaydence Grither; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Max Tucker; grandparents, Howard and Ludene Burns; grandmother, Merietta Grither; stepmother, Shelly Parmer; and one grandchild, Jordan Cummins.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 29, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. Larry Tucker will officiate.
Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
Memorial donations be submitted to the family.
