Jana Rose Orr, age 70, passed away March 18, 2024 at her home in Sikeston, MO, with her daughter by her side.

She was born July 15, 1953 in Hayti, MO, daughter of the late George Hopkins and Hazel Knight-Hopkins.

On June 10, 1972, Jana was married to Raymond Ronnie Orr, he preceded her in death. They met when she was 15 and he was 18. Soon after meeting he was drafted to Vietnam, while he was there, they mailed letters and pictures and he decided he wanted to marry her. She was a loyal and devoted wife.

She was a member of Morehouse Baptist Church, where she played the piano - she had played piano since she was 9 years old. She graduated from Sikeston High School in 1971, and she had been an office manager for TAG, formerly Duckett Truck Center, for 30 years.

Jana was a loving and loyal person, she had a huge heart and loved everyone.  She loved Jesus and wanted her children to know Him and be saved.  She was always a caregiver, even helping raise her grandkids at times; she loved her children and her grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Rebecca (Justin) Davidson of Sikeston and Elizabeth (Russell) Skinner of Kentucky; grandchildren, Ashleigh (Nic) Lane, Kaelyn Burmeister, Reagann Moore, and Rilee Moore; and three great-grandchildren, Braedyn Botkin, Natalie Lane, and Lailani Sith.

In addition to her husband and parents, Jana was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Hopkins; and one great-grandchild, Brynleigh Botkin.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 22, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 12 noon at Ponder Funeral Home. Randy Conn and Russell Cobb will officiate.

Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
