James "Jamie" Laurie Edwards Terrell, age 71, passed away December 30, 2023 at his home in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Jamie was born November 1, 1952 in Chicago, IL to the late James (Jim) Albert Terrell and Hope Edwards Terrell.

He enjoyed fishing, all types of sports, and he was a St. Louis Cardinals fan. He worked as a Sportswriter for the Standard Democrat, was an EMT for many years, and an X-ray Technician for Missouri Delta Medical Center before retiring.

On July 7, 1976 he married Christine Elizabeth Oakley Terrell, she survives of the home in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Other survivors include one son, Blaine Morris of San Antonio, TX; two daughters, Farrah (Tommy) Bissel of Sikeston, MO and Elizabeth Terrell of Cape Girardeau, MO; two sisters, Terri Terrell Hays of Sikeston, MO and Lisa Terrell (Tom) Hill of Greenwood, MO; five grandchildren, Daniel Bissel, Isaiah Wims, Dorian Wims, Elijah Wims, and Lilly Morris; and one great-grandchild, Israel.

There will be a visitation held Thursday, January 11, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home.
