James Earl Stinnett Jr., age 66, of Sikeston, MO passed away December 27, 2023 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.

He was born June 1, 1957 in Sikeston, son of Ruth Diane McIlroy Stinnett of Sikeston and the late James Earl Stinnett Sr.

James was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and worked as a mechanic for Stinnett-Burrows before his health forced him to retire.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, James Earl Stinnett III of Marston, MO; and two grandchildren, Dallas Nicole Stinnett and Ryan James Stinnett.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Timothy Wayne Stinnett.

There will be graveside services held Thursday, January 4, at 2:00 p.m. at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Taylor, Ron Boatwright, Rick McIlroy, Randy McIlory, Kent Stinnett, and Carter Stinnett.
