Hazel Mae Morris-Frazier, age 88, passed away May 25, 2025 at the Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston, MO.
She was born September 22, 1936 in Marston, MO, daughter of the late James Paul Morris Sr. and Tennie Lovins-Morris.
On July 31, 1955 she was married to Allen Eugene Frazier, who preceded her in death on February 16, 2016 after 61 years of marriage.
Hazel was a member of the Lilbourn Church of God for many years and the Madrid, MO Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star. Hazel had owned and operated Hazel's Beauty Shop in New Madrid, MO for 30 years; when she was in her twenty's she had been a Barbizon model.
Hazel is survived by three daughters, Penny-Laurie (Roland) Grissom of East Prairie, MO, Sandy Reihl of California, and Paula (Donald) Thacker of Sikeston, MO; one sister, Loretta Leeker of Festus, MO; and two grandchildren, Crystal Grissom and Joshua Reihl.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Wayne Morris and James Paul 'Mann' Morris Jr.; and three sisters, Peggy Hardesty, Normaline Brewer, and Pauline Adams.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 27, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, MO. Dodie Townsend will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael Sisney, Donald Thacker, Mike Leeker, Jeff Leeker, Brad Leeker, and Kevin Morris.
