Harold Herbert Johnson, age 92, passed away Friday, May 3, 2024 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, MO.

He was born August 15, 1931 in Tiptonville, TN, son of the late Elleck and Myrtle Cottem Johnson.

Harold was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and had been a truck driver for Jonesville Auto Transport for over 30 years before retirement. He was a member of First Christian Church in East Prairie, MO and enjoyed farming, flying, camping, and mowing neighbor's yards.

In 1957 at East Prairie, MO, he was married to Glenda Jean Blackwell Johnson, she preceded him in death on April 24, 2022.

He is survived by one son, Gordon (Linda) Johnson of Chicago, IL; two daughters, Joan (Tony) Sifuentez and Julie Johnson both of Chicago, IL; one brother, Steve (Darlene) Johnson of St. Louis, MO; one sister, Bonnie (Phil) Cooper of Kentucky; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Ann Wasson and Debbie Sue Adkisson both of East Prairie, MO; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Crumm and Martha Middleton.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 10, at 2:00 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, with full military honors, under the direction of Shelby Funeral Home of East Prairie, MO.
