Harold Lee Hodges, age 86, passed away August 27, 2021 at Bertrand Nursing Center in Bertrand, Missouri.

He was born June 12, 1935 in Sikeston, Missouri, son of the late Wesley M.  and Bertha E. Stacy Hodges.

Harold was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Sikeston Elks Lodge, Delta Area Blind, and Missouri Council of the Blind.  He received a Master's degree in Special Education from Michigan State University and was a teacher for the blind at Kansas State Department of Education for 36 years before retiring.

He is survived by one sister-in-law, Gaynell Hodges of Sikeston; a niece, Pam (Jim) Chadwell of Dexter, Missouri; and several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James 'Sonny' Hodges and Dale Hodges.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 1, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Burial will follow in the Sikeston Garden of Memories Cemetery.
