Obituary

Listen to Obituary

Hank Michael Freed, age 6 months, entered into the arms of Jesus on June 9, 2026.

Hank was born on November 11, 2025, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to Bryan Michael Freed and Kayce Ann Landewee-Freed.

Though his time on earth was brief, Hank filled every moment with love, joy, and a light that touched countless hearts. He was the happiest baby, always sharing his beautiful smile with everyone he met. Hank loved listening to his mommy, daddy, MawMaw, PawPaw, Boo Boo and Papa sing to him, swinging under the trees, swimming, and bath time. He especially enjoyed watching his cousins play ball, cuddling with his mommy, spending time with his dad watching sports, and eating ice cream and popsicles.

Hank's gentle spirit and joyful presence brought happiness to all who knew him. While his family grieves the loss of a precious son, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, they find comfort in knowing that he is now safely home in Heaven, wrapped in the love of Jesus. Though his life lasted only six months, the impact he made will remain in the hearts of those who loved him forever.

In addition to his parents, Hank is survived by his maternal grandparents, Gerald and Jana Landewee; paternal grandparents, Mark and Brenda Freed; great-grandparents, Edward and Rita Landewee and John and Judy Reilly; uncles, Derek (Lindsey) Landewee, Justin (Peyton) Landewee, Tyler Landewee, and Charles Mark (Mamie) Freed; cousins, Hunter and Paisley; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Jerry Pridemore, Charles and Anita Freed, and Doris and Bob Williamson, one uncle, Anthony Christopher Landewee, and one cousin Henry Below.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 15, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with a Rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m., at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Missouri. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 16, at 10:00 a.m. The church will be open at 9:30 a.m., with Father Tomas Z. Wilk officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Kenny Rogers Children's Center in honor of Hank Freed.

Caudle Funeral Home is overseeing the arrangements.
