Obituary

Glenys "Ann" Marshall, age 66 passed away December 19, 2024, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, MO.

She was born June 15, 1958, in Michigan City, IN, to Raymond Kelly Marshall Sr. and Glenys Mae Holland (Marshall) Duckworth.

Known by her friends and family as Ann, she graduated from Sikeston High School in 1976. Following graduation, she attended Southeast Missouri State University graduating with a bachelor's in education and a secondary degree in Special Education. She also received a degree from John Hopkins University specializing in Special Education. After her college graduation she student taught at Clarkton/Malden School District. She worked for many different schools New Madrid, ElizabethTown, IL, Theodosia, St. Louis, and Charleston School Districts before retirement. After retiring she was a substitute teacher for a few more years. Although she never had children of her own, she had many children from all the schools she taught at that she loved like her own.

She was a traveling minister for many Pentecostal churches most of her adult life. She was also the Sunday School teacher at Circle City Pentecostal Church for 24 years.

She was a loving Aunt Annie to many nieces and nephews. She was the fun aunt that they loved going to see. She will be greatly missed by all her family.

Including her mother, Glenys Mae Holland (Marshall) Duckworth she is survived by two sisters, Marie Stokes of Sikeston, MO and Mary Grim of Bloomfield, MO; two nephews, thirteen great nephews, and one great-great nephew; and eight nieces, eleven great nieces, two great-great nieces.

In addition to her father Raymond Kelly Marshall Sr and her stepfather Carlos Duckworth she is preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Kelly Marshall Jr.; and one niece Johna Stokes.

Services will be Monday, December 23, visitation 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, MO.

Burial will follow at the New Morley Cemetery in Morley, MO.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Warren, Dalton Pemberton, Scott Smith, Randy Tucker, Dustin Stokes, and Nathan Holland.
