Glenda D. Morgan, age 77, passed away May 18, 2025, surrounded by her family in Barberton, OH.
She was born July 29, 1947, in Parma, MO, daughter of the late Frank Carlyle and Sally Mae Western-Carlyle.
In 1999 Glenda moved from East Prairie, MO to Greenfield, TN and then in 2022 she moved to Madison, OH. She loved to be outside.
On July 1, 1967, she was married to William Morgan, who survives. While residing in East Prairie, they were members of the First General Baptist Church.
Other survivors include one son, Dale Morgan Jr. of Martin, TN; three daughters, Cheryl (Tom) Sterling of Madison, OH, Michelle (Dale) Highsmith of Wadsworth, OH, and Amy (Chris) Atlas of Wadsworth, OH; one brother, Max (Norma) Carlyle of Charleston, MO; three sisters, Sue Boyer of Fredericktown, MO, Linda (Don) Rushing of Wickliffe, KY, and Pat (David) Faire of Sikeston, MO; seven grandchildren, Michael Eichholzer, Taylor (Dan) Sterling, Austin Sterling, Tommy Morgan, Jacob (Deidre) Atlas, Tess Highsmith, and Dale Highsmith III.
In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by nine siblings, Raymond Carlyle, Sam Carlyle, Gilbert Carlyle, Ed Carlyle, Don Carlyle, Harold Carlyle, Eula Matheney, Janie Bush, and Bernice Wray.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Visitation will resume Friday, May 23, 2025, at 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11 a.m. in the Shelby Chapel, with Bro. Coy Dowdy officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery at Dogwood, MO.
Pallbearers will be Mark Mars, Michael Eichholzer, Austin Sterling, Tommy Morgan, Jacob Atlas, and Dale Highsmith III.
Following burial, a meal will be provided for family and friends at the American Legion Hall in Sikeston, MO.
