Gerald Bee Thomas, age 80 of East Prairie, Missouri, passed away September 4, 2023, at Aspire Senior Living Center in East Prairie.  He was born May 30, 1943, in Linville, Kentucky, to the late Marion Otto Thomas and Daisy Irene Thomas.  Gerald was employed as a truck driver for many years.  He was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed working on and repairing lawn mowers in his shop.

He was married to Patsy Lee Moore Thomas for over 43 years, and she survives of the home.

Also surviving are two sons, Donnie Thomas and Larry Thomas, both of East Prairie; three daughters, Cassandra (Kyle) Hutcheson of East Prairie, Tracy Morrow and Theresa Proffer, both of Sikeston, Missouri; two brothers, Billy Joe (Jeannie) Thomas and Marion Lee Thomas, both of East Prairie; and four sisters, Yvonne (James) Hopper, Charlotte Thomas and Christine Thomas, both of East Prairie, and Virginia Hedgecoth of California.  Also surviving are his grandchildren, Dannon Thomas, Freddie Thomas, Missy Cluck, Chad Thomas, Kayla Hutcheson, Katherine Marks, Ariel Knapp, Trevor Proffer, and one special granddaughter, Sarah Proffer of Sikeston.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David Thomas and Anthony Thomas.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 7, 2023, from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Graveside services will immediately follow at East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Freddie Thomas, Trevor Proffer, Tyler Copeland, Johnny Tatum, Andy Marks and Chad Thomas.
