Gary Alan Vaught, age 72 passed away on Saturday, March 8th, 2025, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.

Gary was born November 12, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri to Paul and Veda Vaught. They moved to Sikeston, Missouri in 1957.

He attended and graduated from Sikeston High School in 1971. He married Ellen Nunnlee in 1982, who preceded him in death.

Gary drove a truck for OFMCO for two years as a Terminal Manager for McClean Trucking then worked for ABF Truck Lines as a dispatcher for 22 years. He enjoyed golf, hunting, bowling, fishing, card tricks and traveling.

Gary is survived by 3 brothers, Mike (Nikki) Vaught, Neal (Silvia) Vaught both of Sikeston, Missouri and Richard (Shelia) Vaught of Jackson, Missouri. One brother, John and Parents, Paul and Veda Vaught, preceded him in death. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and his best bud and companion, his dog, Dobi.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 12 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, MO.

Brother Albert D. Long will be officiating the services.

Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.

Pallbearers will be Herman Coffer, Damon Bone, Corey Tinnin, Dakota Trevino, Bill Cashmer, Steve Hampton. Honorary pallbearers are Logan Hawkins and Bill Bye.
