Gary Martin Phillips Sr., age 76, passed away August 11, 2024 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.

He was born February 10, 1948 in Lawrenceville, IL, son of the late Dave Martin and Emmer Elizabeth Smith.  Gary was a farmer before his retirement.

He is survived by three sons, Gary Martin Phillips Jr. of St. Louis, MO, Clarence Eugene Phillips of MO, and William Paul Phillips of Bloomfield, MO; two daughters, Jennifer Ann Bassinger of Morehouse, MO and Brandy Kay Phillips of Sikeston, MO; one sister, Emma Sterling of Sikeston, MO; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Lou Dillard and Shirley Ann Houseman.
