Gary Wayne Sisk, age 70, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024, at his home in East Prairie, Missouri.  He was born October 7, 1953, in East Prairie, to the late Paul Sisk and Sylvia Patterson Sisk.  Gary was employed as a law enforcement officer for many years, working in Perryville, East Prairie, and Oran, Missouri.  He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in East Prairie.  Gary was very artistic, having a talent for drawing and painting.  He also enjoyed listening to all types of music.

On March 29, 1976, in East Prairie, he married Sheila Linley Sisk, who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, Gary is survived by three sons, Gary Sisk (Carla Schreiber) of Hamel, Illinois, Richard (Shannon) Sisk of Gladewater, Texas, and Scott Sisk of East Prairie; one brother, Robert Sisk of Bertrand, Missouri; and one sister, Pauline McMikle of Bertrand.  Also surviving are six grandchildren, Nathan, Alyssa, Ashlynn (Chris Ling), Garrison, Colin, and Katie; with his first great grandchild on the way.

Besides his parents, Gary was preceded in death by three brothers, Cecil Sisk, Raymond Sisk, and Kenneth Sisk; and three sisters, Wilma Goar, Alice Hawkins, and Lorene Burnett.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2024, from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Services will be held at a later date.
