Gary Wayne Morris, age 81, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at his home in East Prairie, Missouri.  He was born April 13, 1941 in Mississippi County, Missouri to the late Doss Morris and Almeta Britt Morris.  Gary was employed as a general meat cutter for many years.  Being an avid sports fan, his favorite past times included watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Kansas City Chiefs football games.  He was also known to be an excellent cook and loved to barbeque outdoors.

Gary was married to Mary Slayden Morris, who survives of the home.

He is also survived by two sons, Jeffrey Morris of Osceola, Florida and Ricky (Mary) Morris of East Prairie; one daughter, Sheryll Baker of Sikeston, Missouri; two stepsons, Charles "Junior" (Maryann) Johnson and Tim Johnson, all of Dogwood, Missouri; one stepdaughter, Becky (Donnie) O'Neal of Dudley, Missouri; many grandchildren, including three special grandchildren, Josh Baker, Chelsea Morris and Brianna Morris; and several great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 1 p.m. at the First General Baptist Church in East Prairie, with Bro. Coy Dowdy, pastor, officiating.
