It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gary D Copeland, a beloved father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, who left us on Sunday, May 18, 2025. He was 61 years old and lived life to the fullest, bringing joy and laughter to all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Tiffany Copeland; father, Mathis Copeland Jr; mother, Mary Copeland; and brother, Ricky Copeland.

He leaves behind his sister, Laura Henley (Copeland); brother-in-law, Phillip Henley; his nieces and nephews; along with his 5 grandchildren.

Gary had a deep love for his daughter Tiffany that weighed on him when she preceded him in death.  Still, he continued to have a zest for life that was evident in all he did. He found happiness in the simple pleasures: a walk to town, the taste of chocolate, a cold beer, the warmth of good company, ("AND GOOD LOOKIN WOMEN"). He had a passion for music and his lawn mowers. He took pride in his collection of speakers and his riding mowers.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, an infectious laughter, and a kind heart. He was always willing to help with any task asked of him.  Gary will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In honor of Gary's life, a celebration of his memory will be held on June 1st at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston Missouri.  All are welcome to join us in sharing stories, laughter, and love as we remember a truly remarkable man.  Visitation will start at 11:00am and services will start at 1:00 pm.
