Gary Lee Adams, age 75, passed away September 19, 2026 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, MO.

He was born June 16, 1951 in Collinsville, IL, son of the late Herschel Adams and Eva Smith-Adams.

He was a member of Divine Second Chance Ministries, a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam War, and retired from Fleming Companies/Malone & Hyde Inc.

When Gary was around, there was never a dull moment. He enjoyed making others smile and laugh no matter the circumstance. He cherished his favorite gospel songs, singing as loud as possible while praising the Lord. Gary loved life, his friends, his family, and most of all-he loved Jesus. He opened his home to many over the years as he felt it was God's work to help others during difficult times. He will be greatly missed here on this earth and will always remain in our hearts forever.

On June 9, 1972 he was married to his best friend forever, Barbara Floyd-Adams, who survives of the home in Sikeston, MO.

Other survivors include four children, Shelley Adams of Sikeston, MO, Joey Adams of Sikeston, MO, Mike (Laura) Adams of Aquila, MO, and Makenze Adams of Sikeston, MO; nine grandchildren, Sydney Helmes, Austyn Adams, Maycie Adams, Logan Adams, Leksey Adams Williams, Landon Adams, Libby Adams, Mia Adams, and Ema Adams; 11 great-grandchildren, Parker Shannon, Kane Shannon, Kamryn Shannon, Aiden Williams, Beau Williams, Cannon Adams, Josie Adams, Ryder Adams, Tripp Foster, Levi Adams, and Claira Adams; and a host of nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded by one brother, Larry Adams; and one sister, Kathy Adams.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 24, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Caudle Funeral Home in Sikeston, MO where funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Clayton Willis of Divine Second Chance Ministries will be officiating the services.

Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO with full military honors.
