Obituary

Garry Blain Zook II, age 42, passed away September 29, 2021 at his home in Murray, Kentucky.

He was born October 21, 1978 in Sikeston, Missouri, son of Mamie Pope Zook and the late Garry Blain Zook.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the 82 nd Airborne during the Iraq War, during which time he received several medals of achievement and ribbons for his service.  Blain was fun-loving, charismatic, passionate, and artistic.  He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to kayak and rock climb.

He is survived by his mother, Mamie Pope Zook of East Prairie, Missouri; two sons, Noah Blain Zook and Ike Alexander Zook; and one sister, Kristina Zook Chappell (Keith) of Hendersonville, Tennessee.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 4, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at St. James General Baptist Church of East Prairie, Missouri.  The Rev. David Dowdy will officiate.

Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park with full military honors.
