Hickman
December 21, 1945 – January 4, 2026
Frances Louise Hickman, age 80, a resident of Matthews, MO, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Annie's Garden Nursing Facility in Sikeston, MO. She was born December 21, 1945, in Mississippi County, MO, to the late Henry Williams and Mary Wilson Williams, and retired from Falkoff's in Sikeston, where she was employed as a seamstress. Frances was of Baptist faith, and had served as a Sunday school teacher, youth group leader, and a deaconess. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Frances loved working in her flower and vegetable gardens, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
On June 28, 1974, in East Prairie, MO, she married Gary Hickman, who survives of the home. They were married for over 51 years.
In addition to her husband, Frances is survived by three children, Brian (Carrie) Ellis of O'Fallon, MO, Kimberly (Darren) Perry of Jackson, MO, and Nelson Hickman of Dexter, MO; six brothers, Roy Leon Williams of Chaffee, MO, Ronnie (Joann) Williams of East Prairie, John (Dorothy) Williams of Portageville, MO, Terry (Nancy) Williams of Sikeston, MO, Barry (Jan) Williams of Cape Girardeau, MO, and Michael Williams of Matthews; and one sister, Mendy Brooks of East Prairie. Also surviving are five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 8, 2026, beginning at 12 noon until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, with Bro. Stanley Triplett officiating.
Interment will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Shelby Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be John Williams, Gregg Williams, Terry Williams, Mike Williams, Rick Wilson, and Darren Perry.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Ellis, Nelson Hickman, and Kolten Ford.
