Fleta Jo Arnold, age 93, passed away November 5, 2022 at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston, Missouri.
She was born July 10, 1929 in in Sikeston, daughter of the late Edward Davis and Delsie McGowan Davis. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She had been a Twirler for Sikeston High School Marching Band, she loved to bowl and bowled on a team weekly, she was also a member of the Bingo Club, a group of long-time friends who rotated their homes each month and had Bingo together.
On March 29, 1948 she was married to James "Pick" Arnold, who preceded her in death on April 25, 1999.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Archie of Sikeston and Vickie (Al) Stepp of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, Mac (Pat) Davis of Sikeston; one sister, Pat Ham of Sikeston; three grandchildren, Jeff Archie, Christopher Archie, and John (Laura) Howard, III; nine great-grandchildren, Skyler (Hayley) Archie, Logan Archie, Jasmine Kennedy, Theron Archie, Katie Archie, Claudia Neal, Jack Howard IV, George Howard, and Vivian Howard; and six great-great-grandchildren, Kensley, Olivia, Andres, Wyndsor, Wryler, and Avery.
In addition to her husband and parents, Fleta Jo was preceded in death by two sons, Mark Edward Arnold and Michael Arnold; two sons-in-law, Larry Archie and Jack Howard, Jr.; and four sisters, Corniece Lee, Sylvia Jamison, Louise Masters, and Betty Miller.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 10, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Paullester Walker will officiate with the Eulogy by Mac Davis.
Burial will follow in the Sikeston Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Archie, Christopher Archie, John Howard III, Skyler Archie, Theron Archie, and Logan Archie.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
