Evelyn Joan Eaves, age 83, a resident of East Prairie, MO, passed away Friday, May 23, 2025, at Aspire Senior Living Center in East Prairie.

She was born August 17, 1941 in Missouri, daughter of the late Harvey Ivie and Cleo Lindsay Ivie.

Joan was a member of the Assembly of God Church in East Prairie, MO.

Joan owned and operated  a Daycare Center before semi retiring.  Later she worked part-time as a personal caregiver. She loved being together with her family, her church family and friends.  Evelyn enjoyed traveling with her late husband Frank, shopping and dancing.

On May 29, 1960 at 34 Corner, she married Frank Eaves, who preceded her in death August, 31,2008.

Surviving is one son, Steve Eaves and wife Cecelia of East Prairie, MO; one granddaughter, Summer; and three great grandsons, Remington, Winchester, Dillinger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Eaves, parents, and siblings.

Graveside farewell service is scheduled Tuesday, May 27,2025, at 10:00 AM at Dogwood Cemetery, with Shelby Funeral Home of East Prairie in charge of arrangements.
