Eugene R. Mayes, age 57, passed away March 25, 2024 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, MO.

He was born February 28, 1967 in Illinois to Roy L. Mayes and Sophie Ann Kosinski-Mayes.

He had been a resident of Daybreak Nursing Center in Sikeston and was formerly of East Prairie, MO.  Eugene was very soft spoken with a huge heart.  He loved the St. Louis Cardinals.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant sister Gloria Mayes.

He is survived by one aunt, Geraldine "Geri" Kosinski of Oakbrook, IL.

There will be a graveside service Friday, March 29, at 11:00 a.m. at East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Shelby Funeral Home.
