Emma Lou Warf, daughter of the late Guy and Golie Vines, was born on July 31st, 1930, in Canalou, Missouri. She departed this life on Feb 4th, 2024, at Memory Lanes Nursing Center of Dexter, at the age of 93.
Emma Lou had several jobs in her life. She worked at the Parma Shoe factory, was the receptionist for two New Madrid optometrists, was the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Information Officer, Chief Communication Officer, and in essence the Chief Executive Officer of Lonnie's Plumbing and Heating business for most of her career. She was also the Head Librarian at the Lilbourn Public Library for several years. In her spare time, served as the Secretary of the Lilbourn General Baptist Church for a decade or two.
Emma Lou was a dedicated Christian and Charter member of the Lilbourn General Baptist Church and current member of the Lilbourn First Baptist Church. Her life revolved around her love for God, Church, and Family.
On Jan 14, 1947, she married Arthur A "Lonnie" Warf, who preceded her in death on August 31, 1995, after 48 years of marriage.
Emma is survived by two sons, Keith (Teena) Warf of Columbus, Indiana and Kevin (Shannon) Warf of Festus, Missouri; One son-in-Law, Larry Hamilton of Lilbourn Missouri; three sisters, Alfreda Reid of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Ellen Grady of Fairview Heights, Illinois, and Ruth Etta (Phil) Hunt of O'Fallon, Missouri. Also surviving are five grandchildren, David (Shari) Warf of Franklin Indiana, Amanda Hengeveld (Matt) of Springville, Indiana, Kelley (Travis) Lamber of Dexter, Missouri, Jonathan Hamilton of Lilbourn Missouri, and Tiffani (Lance) Miller of Commerce, Missouri; eight great grandchildren Emma (Oliver) Warren, Benjamin (Katelyn) Lambert, Amelia Lambert, Maddox Warf, Auri Hengeveld, Sage Hengeveld, Khloe Gantt, and Averie Gantt; two great-great grandchildren Madison Elaine Lambert and Vivian Faye Lambert and a plethora of nieces and nephews that she deeply loved.
In addition to her parents and husband, Emma was preceded in death by her brother, Burl Vines of Minor, Missouri, her sister, Janevee Higdon of Bloomfield, Missouri, her grandson, Tyler Warf of New Madrid, Missouri, and most recently her daughter, Regaina Hamilton, of Lilbourn, Missouri.
Services will be at Lilbourn First Baptist Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 7, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 11 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Keith Warf, Kevin Warf, Jonathan Hamilton, Larry Hamilton, Ben Lambert, and Dickie Weeks.
The family asks that flowers be sent through 'Tis the Season, 307 E Main Street, Portageville, MO or in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Elara Caring, 1614 W US-60 BUS Ste A-1, Dexter Missouri.
