Emma Jean Ivie, age 90 of East Prairie, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at her home.  She was born May 19, 1931, in East Prairie, to the late Walter Grigsby and Veda Berry Grigsby.  She was a member of First Christian Church of East Prairie, where she retired as custodian.

She was married to Otis Ivie, who preceded her in death on July 4, 2000.

Survivors include two daughters, LaDonna (Roger) Aday of Sikeston, Missouri and Charlotte (Michael) Hogendobler of Villa Ridge, Illinois; four grandchildren, Ciara Hogendobler, Kyle Duke, Natalie Gordan and Mitchell Sidwell; and one great grandchild, Shelby Johnson.

In addition to her husband and parents, Emma was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Sam Hogendobler and Lee Hogendobler; four brothers, Claron Grigsby, Gerald Grigsby, Kenneth Grigsby and Billy Grigsby; and three sisters, Laverne Richards, Della Mae Grigsby and Ella Christine Grigsby.

Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, September 24, 2021, at 1 p.m. at East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Shelby Funeral Home of East Prairie.  Bro. Martin Lucas will officiate.
