Emma DeMonia, age 84, passed away September 29, 2023 at the Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston, Missouri.

She was born January 26, 1939 in Little Rock, Arkansas, daughter of the late Cecil "C.V." Garner and Ollie Mae Lusk-Garner.

Emma was a member of the First Baptist Church of Morehouse and had worked over 30 years for the Shuffit's Nursing Home #3, which is now the Westfield Nursing Center.  She enjoyed crafting, gardening, serving others at the nursing home, and spending time with her dogs, Runt and Coco.

She is survived by two sons, Joe DeMonia of Crestview, Florida and Wayne DeMonia of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; one daughter, Pam Little of Sikeston, Missouri; six grandchildren, Brooke Sparks, Craig DeMonia, Brayden DeMonia, Melissa Veazie, Brittany DeMonia, and Corbin DeMonia; and seven great-grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service held Friday, October 6, at 10:00 a.m. at Sikeston Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Ponder Funeral Home.
