Elton Lee Ramsey, age 77, of East Prairie, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022, in Portageville, Missouri.

She was born January 30, 1945, in Dorena, Missouri, to the late William and Hazel (Henderson) Adams. She was of the Methodist faith and had worked as a self-employed beautician until she retired.  She loved to cook and share a good meal with her family.  She cherished her flowers and working in her yard alongside her furry companions.

She is survived by two sons, Butch Pritchett of East Prairie, and Jimmy (Angela) Ramsey of Risco, Missouri; three daughters, Dymisha Wilburn of East Prairie, Cary Lee (William) Schoenau of Washington, Illinois, and Leighanne Weller of Portageville, Missouri; one sister Willie Snow of Kevil, Kentucky; ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and her beloved dog Buttercup.  She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William Otis Adams, and two sisters Etta Mae Burney, and Lillie Mae Hill.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2022, from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Interment will follow immediately at the Dogwood Cemetery in Dogwood, Missouri.
