Elizabeth Casey McGeehee, age 82, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Aspire Senior Living in East Prairie, MO.  She was born February 15, 1942, to the late Rev. James O. Casey and Rev. Pearl Fitzgerald Casey and had been a loving resident of Aspire Senior Living since 1998.

Elizabeth was of Pentecostal belief and a self-taught piano player.  She also used to sing at church, and it has been said that she had the voice of an angel.  She found great joy in her music.  She also loved to shop, and enjoyed participating in all the facility activities, especially Bingo.

She is survived by her nieces.

Elizabeth was the last remaining child of all her siblings: Jimmy, Lynn, Billy, Jean, and Eulice Casey, Olga Griggs, Eunice Moody, Bobbie Dodd, Reba Skaggs, and Naomi Parr.

Much appreciation goes to the staff of Aspire Senior Living for their care and friendship throughout the years, as well as VNA Hospice, including Julie and Chaplain J.T. Thomason.

Shelby Funeral Home of East Prairie is in charge of arrangements.
