Edward Allen Young, age 80, of Sikeston, MO, passed away, Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born April 8, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Alfred Young and Marion Teschke Young. On January 30, 1971 in Chicago he married the late Carol Ann Roden Young.

Edwards whole life was his church and his involvement in the church. He was a long time member of Abundant Life Tabernacle in Johnstown, Colorado. He enjoyed playing guitar in church and being an usher. He worked in transportation for over 25 years. He was also a United States Army Veteran, and will receive full military honors.

He is survived by one son, David (Karen) Young of Illinois; one daughter, Jennifer Lynn (Don) Beck of Sikeston, MO; one sister Chris Bozich of Wisconsin; six grandchildren; Joshua, Jacob, Justin, Megan, Ayla, and Donnie, and six great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, and parents he was preceded in death by one sister Francis Patrick.

There will be a future service announced at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
