Edward 'Eddie' Owen Hicks, age 88, passed away July 19, 2022 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri.

He was born December 1, 1933 in Blodgett, Missouri, son of the late Arvil  Yewell and Viola Mae Webber Hicks.

Edward was a lifelong resident of Sikeston and worked as a self-employed mechanic. His hobbies included restoring tractors, camping and SEMO RC Flyers.

He is survived by three daughters, Sondra (Terry) Alliston, Debra (Randy) Allen, and Darlene Hicks; three sons, Randy Hicks, Steven (Patricia) Hicks, and Artie (Tracy) Hicks; one sister; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by four sisters and six brothers.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 24, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. Karen Tropf will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Forest Hills Cemetery at Morley, Missouri.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Jason Allen, Brandon Hicks, Zach Hicks, Stephen Hicks, Robbie Hicks, Anthony Hicks, Andrew Alliston, and Dawson Hicks.
