Edward Boyer, age 62, of East Prairie, Missouri, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022, at his home.  He was born September 17, 1959, in Wyatt, Missouri, to the late Larry Boyer and Shirley Walker Boyer, and had been employed in the restaurant business before ill health forced his retirement.

On March 28, 2010, in Keenes, Illinois, he married Darcy Schaefer, who survives of the home.

Also surviving is one son, Edward Boyer Jr. of the Carolinas; one stepdaughter, Amber Schaefer of East Prairie; one brother, Chuck Tanner of Fredericktown, Missouri; his aunt Pauline Carter and cousin Randy Balswell.

He was preceded in death by one son, Johnny Boyer.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, with Pastor Patricia Vollertsen officiating.
