Earl "Chuck" Merryman, age 81 of East Prairie, Missouri, passed away Monday, July 31, 2023, at Bertrand Nursing & Rehab Center.  He was born June 3, 1942, in Dorena, Missouri, to the late Enoch Merryman and Ethel Irene Carden Merryman, and was employed for many years by Ault Farms.  Chuck loved to fish in his spare time.  He was a member of New Beginnings Church in East Prairie.

On June 12, 1964, in Dorena, Missouri, he married Peggy Joyce Gilliam Merryman, who preceded him in death October 13, 2019.

Survivors include one son, Glenn (Roberta) Merryman of Mayfield, Kentucky; one daughter, Shelli Feinburg of East Prairie; four grandchildren, Shelby Merryman, Brittany Scott, Tyler Merryman and Jacoby Feinburg; five great grandchildren; one brother, Jerry Merryman of East Prairie; two sisters, Ruth Coleman of East Prairie and Mary Vines of Wyatt, Missouri; and many friends.

Chuck was preceded in death by two brothers, John Merryman and Henry Merryman; and five sisters, Loni Blasingain, Rosie Merryman, Elva Faye Merryman, Minnie Wheatley and Ruby Grogan.

Shelby Funeral Home of East Prairie is in charge of arrangements.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at New Beginnings Church in East Prairie.
