Dottie Jean Sinyard, age 87, passed away April 26, 2023 at her home in Morehouse, Missouri.
She was born October 29, 1935 in Salcedo, Missouri, daughter of the late Monroe McIntyre and Mary Smith-McIntyre.
Dottie loved spending time with her family, cooking, going to flea markets and yard sales, and caring for other people.
In 1969 in Birmingham, Alabama, she was married to Joel Griffin Sinyard who preceded her in death on March 24, 2000.
She is survived by one son, Lenny Sinyard of Shelby, AL; two daughters, Julie Turquitt of Marion, AL and Edna Rodgers of Morehouse, MO; one brother, Arles McIntyre of Salcedo, MO; one sister, Bell Harris of Evansville, IN; ten grandchildren, Ashley Rainey, Amber Dohogne, Angela Burton, April Oates, Anna Johnson, Jessica Turquitt, Brandi Engle, and Wayne Landers, Errick Sinyard, Byron Sinyard; and lots of great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Dottie was preceded in death by two sons, Doyal Landers and Dennis Sinyard; four brothers, Duke McIntyre, Raymond McIntyre, Bud McIntrye, and Ronnie McIntyre; and four sisters, Ruth Smith, Viola Alford, Mae Wilson, and Geraldine McIntyre.
Visitation will be Monday, May 1, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Essex Cemetery at Essex, Missouri.
